About Us...




Larry Parlor (seated left) has been with Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home since the mid-70s. He is a member of Southside Baptist Church and an avid coon hunter. He is a graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science and is a licensed funeral director and embalmer. Larry served his country and is a veteran of the U.S. Army and has served Jeff Davis County not only in the funeral service but is a former sheriff and a former coroner of his native county.

Matt Beecher has been with Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home since August of 2013. He began his funeral service career at the age of 21 working part time. He graduated with a degree in funeral service education from Ogeechee Technical College in 2012 and became a licensed funeral director and embalmer in 2014. He is a member of the Hazlehurst Church of God, where he serves as an Exhorter with the Church of God and his currently working on his Ordained Minister License.

Howard Rentz (standing right) has been with Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home since the late 70s and is an assistant funeral director. Prior to beginning his funeral service career, Howard was a tractor mechanic and currently owns and operates Rentz Taxidermy where he skillfully preserves wildlife. He has served Jeff Davis in the past as a former deputy coroner. In his spare time, Howard enjoys gardening and is found with some type of fruit or vegetable growing at his home at all times.

Helen Hamm (standing left) has been the secretary at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home since 2008. Prior to entering the funeral service, Helen was employed with Spell's Pest Control and Terminix Pest Control for over 30 years. She attends the Hazlehurst Church of God where she actively serves in the Music Ministry and is a Sunday School Teacher.
